In 2023, JJ Portlock established The Portlock Company, drawing upon his extensive expertise in constructing luxury homes across the Pacific Northwest. Having enjoyed a highly successful career with national luxury home builder Toll Brothers, JJ's industry proficiency spans the entire construction process, enabling him to design and build high-quality homes that surpass customer expectations.

JJ's journey in the home building industry commenced after completing his degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University in 2004. Starting as an Assistant Project Manager for Toll Brothers (Camwest Development at the time) in the Seattle area, JJ swiftly climbed the ranks. By 2006, he became a Project Manager, overseeing the construction process from foundations to completion. His dedication to buyer satisfaction propelled him to the role of Senior Project Manager in 2011, managing the construction of 50-75 homes annually. In 2014, JJ assumed the position of Seattle Division Vice President, overseeing the delivery of over 100 homes each year. His exceptional leadership led to his promotion as the first Portland Division President in 2019, where he successfully launched and expanded the new Oregon Division into a thriving business with an annual revenue exceeding $100 million in just 3.5 years. Throughout his career, JJ has impressively managed the construction of over 1500 new homes.

JJ's commitment is rooted in embarking on the home building journey with each customer's dream at the forefront. He takes pleasure in translating their vision into reality by constructing beautiful and thoughtfully designed homes. As an Oregon native, JJ is grateful to fulfill his lifelong dream of building houses in his home state. He resides in West Linn with his wife and their two children. Beyond building homes, JJ can be found coaching his kids' sports, camping with his family, playing golf, and actively engaging in volunteer work and board activities.
